Leadership Conference
Growers First started as a personal mission of the founder over 5 years ago. For the first 3 years of incorporation as a 501(c)3, they continued as an all volunteer organization. Volunteer effort has been the backbone of creating long term support for farmers through the relationships farmers have with these volunteers.
Volunteers are engaged in:
- Translation – Both in Official Languages such as Spanish, and finding literals for indigenous dialects.
- Program Design – Many of the programs come from one project and move to another. Creating a universal design for good farmer ideas keeps development moving.
- Program Tracking – The creation and maintenance of our tracking systems often involves forms, languages and databases. Put your MIS skills to work on a technology leap in development.
- Mission Activity – Language skills and a powerful giving heart are both strong talents needed in the field. There are also many agricultural, economic, medical, and technical expertise opportunities for field work that involve working directly with farm families
